Teacakes by Cookie was born out of a love of delicious homemade cookies from a recipe passed down from generations.  A teacake is a flavorful vintage pastry, soft like cake in the middle and crispy around  the edges.  Well know in Southern households, teackes ahave been around since the 18th century.  African-American families often baked and enjoyed them during afternoon teas, Sunday dinners, church functions, and Juneteenth celebrations.
